Barbara Ann Davi

Barbara Ann Davi, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister,aunt, and creative artist, passed away peacefully at her home in Benicia on August 27, 2026. She was 81 years old. Barbara was born June 9, 1945, in Brooklyn, New York and grew up in the Roosevelt neighborhood. She later made her home and raised her family in Wantagh, in Nassau County on Long Island, where she lived for more than 33 years before moving to Benicia, California in 2006 to be with her grandchildren. She worked as Director of Customer Service at IMC – A New York Times Company, for 2 decades before her retirement. Barbara was a gifted and creative artist who found great joy in painting, sewing, and crafting. Her creativity was especially evident in the many thoughtful things she made for the people she loved. She will always be remembered for crafting original and elaborate Halloween costumes, making humorous and mischievous banners for her loved ones’ birthdays, and creating thoughtful homemade birthday cards. Above all, Barbara loved her family. She was a humble, generous and selfless person that had a nostalgia for childhood and family memories and stories. Her grandchildren held a particularly special place in her heart, and she will forever be remembered by them as a grandma that infused their childhood with magic, wonder, and love. Her creativity, kindness, and devotion to her family will live on through the many memories she created and the lives she touched. Barbara is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years, Frank Sr.; her sons, Frank Jr. and his wife, Christine, and Robert Davi and his wife, Jennifer; and daughter-in-law Sarah Davi. She is also survived by her brother, Chris Karrmann and his wife, Muriel; sisters Janet Wey and Nancy O’Connell; and her five grandchildren Hayden, Jasper, Kai, Lucia, and Kingston. Barbara was followed in death hours later by her beloved son, Roy Christian Davi, who passed, on the same day, August 27, 2026. Barbara’s family will forever treasure the love she gave so freely, the creativity she shared so generously, and the countless memories she left behind. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 10th at St. Dominic’s Church, 475 East I Street, Benicia. Burial will be 10:00 a.m., Friday at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, Dixon, CA.
