Dylan Otero

Dylan was born 10/26/1978 in Bogota Colombia, Dylan passed 12/24/2022 in Vallejo California. Dylan was survived by his wife Jennifer Otero and their children Azariah, Victoria, Isabella and Dylan Jr (DJ). Dylan will be greatly missed by his wife, his children his mother Rolene, Father Pablo and Stephmom Lorraine, his brother Martin and sister in law Emily and their children Vivian and Lucas as well as his sister in law Anna, brother in law Sione and their children Sione Jr, Toa, May, Vai, Fa’aitu and Pele. Dylan was close to his extended family and friends. Dylan went to High School at South Pasadena High. Dylan atrended Sonoma State and earned a BA in Sociology. Dylan was a life long learner and enjoyed studying new things. Dylan has worked with minors in crisis for over 20 years, dedicating his time and energy to support our future leaders in learning critical skills. Dylan loved sports and played football in high school and college. Dylan loved to coach his nieces and nephews in their sports and attended as many sporting events as he could. Dylan loved to go fishing with friends, his brother in law and his nieces and nephews, he often caught less fish than them as he always helped the younger kids. Dylan was a gentle giant who loved talking to people. Dylan has an amazing sense of humor and was always trying to make people laugh. Dylan enjoyed talking to his friends and family and would call and text them frequently. Dylan loved to have a meal with the people he loved. Dylan grew up attending Orange Grove Friends Meetings. Dylan continued to attend Friends Meetings as an adult and attending PYM. Dylan believed greatly in the power of organ donation and felt strongly about encouraging others to become donors. Dylan was an organ donor and through that legacy as well as the legacy of his children, wife, family and friends his good nature continues to provide comfort to those around him. Dylan's services will be 1/7/23 at 300pm at Community congregational church in Benicia, there is a virtual option for those who can not attend. There will be an ashes spreading memorial in San Diego (for info to be given later), his mom is planning a Quaker memorial of remembrance in February at Orange Grove Friends Meeting
