Kevin Allen Anderson

Kevin Allen Anderson, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2026, in Vallejo, California Born on April 10, 1956, in Berkeley, California, Kevin grew up in Orinda with his brother, Kerby, and his parents, John and Lorraine Anderson. He graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a degree in Business Administration and later earned his Master's Degree in Taxation from California State University, East Bay. It was at U.C. Berkeley where Kevin met the love of his life, Carol, when they both turned 21. They were married in June of 1983, beginning a beautiful 43 year life together. They raised their family in Orinda, where they spent 25 cherished years. Family was truly the center of Kevin's life; he was an incredibly kind, good and honest man who was deeply devoted to his family and was always loving to his wife and children. His family will always love him. He always put his loved ones first, and he was always supportive and loving. His family was everything to him and he was everything to them. Kevin was also dedicated to his professional life, serving others for 43 years as a Certified Public Accountant. He began his career in 1983 at Deloitte Haskins & Sells before founding his own firm, The Anderson Group, Certified Public Accountants. Based in Emeryville for over 25 years, Kevin took great pride in his work and was deeply thoughtful of the 13 employees who worked with him through the years. Outside of work, Kevin loved to read. He would read every day, often spending hours with a good book. He also loved playing golf with his friends. One of Kevin and Carol's favorite things to do was to go out to dinner together through the years. They treasured their time together on cruises and trips to Mexico, Hawaii, Greece and Akashi, Japan, where he accompanied her on tour with the Vallejo Symphony in August 1993. They also loved to go to Pacific Grove and Stinson Beach. Kevin's legacy of kindness, generosity, and unwavering devotion will be forever cherished by his family. He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Carol Anderson; his daughters, Julie Marty and Sarah Anderson; his son, Daniel Anderson; his brother, Kerby Anderson and Kerby's wife, Susanne; and his three adored grandchildren, Sophia, Tommy, and Laura.
