Timothy "Red Dog" Vogelpohl

Timothy “Tim” Vogelpohl, affectionately known as “Red Dog,” passed away peacefully at his home in Medford, Oregon, on June 20, 2026, at the age of 74. He was born on August 1, 1951. Tim is lovingly remembered by his wife of 21 years, Sharon; his sisters, Ann Pearman (Ron) and Joan Segle (Ray); and his brothers, John (Annie), Dan (Sherry), and Jimmy (Mario). He is also survived by his sister-in-law Debbie Vogelpohl. Tim leaves behind his son, Charles Raggio (Atousa), and cherished grandsons, Fox and Kian Raggio. He will also be missed by his brothers-in-law, Albert (Lori) and Robert (Sue) Peterson; his sister-in-law Kathy Woodcox; and his many nieces and nephews. Tim treasured his lifelong friendships and kept close ties with many dear friends throughout his life. His loyal companion, Boswell, held a special place in his heart as his best friend. He was preceded in death by his parents Jack & Patsy; his brother Tommy Vogelpohl; his niece Michelle Garay Vogelpohl; and his cousin and lifelong friend, Kevin McInerney. He was also preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Jean M. Peterson, and his sister-in-law, Nancy Peterson. A proud native of Benicia, California, Tim attended St. Dominic’s School and graduated from Benicia High School in 1969. Among his fondest memories were the many hours spent cruising Main Street and his time on the BHS basketball team—particularly the memorable 1968 season when the team advanced to the state championships. In 2000, Tim moved to Medford, Oregon, where he worked for several car dealerships before opening his own business, Nu2U Autos, in 2008. He successfully operated the business until his retirement in 2014. In retirement, Tim embraced life’s adventures, especially traveling. He had a knack for “finding deals,” particularly on cruises, and enjoyed exploring destinations including Mexico, Alaska, the Panama Canal, the Western Caribbean, and the Mexican Riviera. Tim will be remembered for his warm spirit, his love of storytelling, and the deep connections he maintained with those around him. His presence will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. A viewing will be held at Passalacqua Funeral Chapel from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Interment will be private. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched.
