Anthony P. "Tony" Souza

Anthony “Tony” P. Souza, 65, of Benicia passed away Thursday unexpectantly in Vallejo. Tony was born in Albany, CA to Henry and Vivian Souza and was a resident of Benicia for more than 28 years. He was in the National Guard for 6 years and was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union Local 104 and worked as a sheet metal worker for more than 30 years. Tony also loved working with wood, traveling with his family and spending time at his home in Oregon that he called “a slice of heaven.” He was a member of St. John’s Hall and the American Legion Louis Hagen Post 340. Tony is survived by his wife of 43 years, Teresa Souza, son, Mario Souza, daughter, Jessica (Kevin) Lodetti, brother, Patrick (Carmina) Souza and grandchildren, Taylor Anthony, Jasmine Angelique, Layla Rose and Vanessa Eileen. Visitation will be Thursday 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. with a vigil service at 7:00 p.m. at Passalacqua Funeral Chapel, 901 West 2nd St., Benicia. Mass will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. at St. Dominic’s Church, Benicia. Burial will follow in St. Dominic’s Cemetery, Benicia.
