Betty J. Dinsdale

Betty J. Dinsdale passed away Wednesday in a local care home following a long illness. She was born in Bowlegs, Oklahoma and has lived in Benicia for more than 75 years. She worked as a Crossing Guard for over 20 years at the East 3rd Street Pedestrian Tunnel. When she wasn't working, you would probably see at any of the local garage sales. Betty is survived by her sons Dean (Tawana) Dinsdale and Paul (Julie) Dinsdale; 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Frank in 2000, daughter Beth Ann Hodges in 2008 and a son Earl in 2009. A Celebration of her Life will be held Saturday, June 28th at 12 Noon, at Francesca Park on Hillcrest Avenue near the National Guard Armory in Benicia. Family prefers donations to the American Diabetes Foundation.
