Carl H. Stoops

Carl H. Stoops, 81, of Benicia passed away Tuesday at his home following a long battle with cancer. He was born in East Chicago, Illinos and has called Benicia his home since 1973. Carl was a graduate of Purdue University and worked as a mechanical engineer for more than 25 years. Carl enjoyed sailing on San Francisco Bay and was a former member of the CAL Sailing Club. He once sailed to Seattle. He was a fan of the San Francisco Giants and loved life and was always positive. He is survived by Pat, his wife of 60 years; sons Mike (Mariel), David (Mihaela), Dale & Glenn (Trish) Stoops; brother Jack (Lori) Stoops; sister Ethel Devine and his grandchildren Lauren, Sarah, Ryan, Ashlin, Garrett, Anna May, Parisa & Roya.
