Christopher Noel Powell

September 9, 1967 - August 11, 2018

Christopher Noel Powell of Benicia CA, Vice President of REMAX Gold died of cancer on Saturday, August 11th at his home in the loving company of close family and friends. Chris was born as Noel Christopher Powell at the University of Chicago’s Lying-in Hospital in IL on September 19th, 1967 the son of Patricia Parks and William M.K. Spali. He was raised in St. Louis Missouri by Patricia and Hubert Powell along with his half brother Roman. From the get-go charisma, athleticism, and determination were his defining characteristics. In high school he was outstanding in his roles as Class President and captain of his football and baseball teams as well as his academic performance. And as a business manager and executive he was celebrated for his generosity in sharing what he knew in a way that was inspiring and motivational. As one colleague put it Chris’ “desire to succeed [was] matched by [his] desire for others to succeed”. His passions for football, politics, poker, the art of selling, mentoring athletes, and business leadership and his commitment to supporting his wife and daughters shaped his life. Chris is survived by his devoted wife Shandrika Beldon-Powell and two accomplished daughters Whittney and Chandler. Chris was known and loved for his valor in facing challenges head on, his motivational leadership, his engaging conversations, and his infectious smile. He will be sorely missed. We now picture him dancing on a yacht in the Mediterranean sea with family and friends, dressed to the 9’s, and smoking a fat cigar.
