Clifford A. Donley, 79, of Benicia passed away Sunday following a long illness. He was born in San Leandro, lived in Long Beach for more than 30 years before moving to Benicia in1995. He worked as a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative for more than 30 years before retiring in 1990. He served in the United States Air Force as a cryptographer during the Cold War. Cliff was an active member of St. Dominic's parish and served in several ministries. He was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus and served as Grand Knight of Fr. Villarasa Council and Faithful Navigator of 4th Degree Altimira Assembly and the Color Corp. He also was a member of the ROMEO (Real Old Men Eating Out) Breakfast Group. He is survived by Barbara, his wife of more than 51 years; son Timothy Donley; daughter Jennifer Chang; sisters Margarete Rall & Barbara (Rick) Herrin; his grandson Jalen, Sovann & Lian; his aunt Helen Pine and several cousins, nieces and nephews. The family wished to thank the physicians and nurses of Kaiser's Light Program, and the Camino Alto Residence for the care and respect they showed Clifford. Also the many friends who have visited him these last years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Dominic's Church, Kaiser Light program, c/o Vallejo Kaiser Hospital, Camino Alto Residence or the charity of choice. Vigil services will be held 7:00 p.m. Friday at Passalacqua Funeral Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday at St. Dominic's Church.
