D'Ava Sue Gray

D’Ava Sue Gray passed away Tuesday night in a local hospital surrounded by family and friends. She was born in Soap Lake, Washington, and grew up in the Santa Cruz and Ben Lomond area where she graduated from San Lorenzo Valley High School in 1978. D’Ava moved to Benicia in 1992 and worked as the office manager for Prudential Realty in Benicia for more than 18 years. D’Ava enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, going on tropical vacations and rooting for the Giants at Spring Training. Other hobbies of hers included gardening, cooking, reading, and playing with the family dogs. D’Ava is survived by Scot, her husband of 35 years; daughter Amanda (Michael) Brady, son Austin (Greer) Gray, her mother Sue Olson-Johnston, brother Mark (Patty) Olson, sister Darla (Ron) Mosher, grandchildren Hudson and Nell Gray, and future Baby Brady due in May, and her dogs Riley & Dakota. A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, February 25th at her home on Corcoran Court. Family prefers donations to the SPCA or the donor’s favorite charity.
