Enrique "Rick" Cruz Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Enrique (Rick) Cruz was born on June 14, 1955 and passed away on Monday, February 27, 2017. Rick was a resident of Las Vegas, Nv. He was born in Philadelphia, moved to Texas, San Francisco and a longtime resident of Benicia. Rick was passionate about the 49ers, loved basketball, boxing and fishing. He would enjoy a good game of Domino’s and Yahtzee and occasionally might let you win. His family and friends will truly miss his warm smile, love of life, gift of gentle compassion, good nature, talent of making an amazing omelet and arroz con gondules, as well as many other special dishes. He will be forever in our hearts; loved and missed by his wife Cindy Skodak Cruz, his wonderful children, Tina Christe Deleon, Jenny Cruz-Harris, Enrique Stephen Cruz, Mario Anthony Cruz, his amazing grandchildren, Robbie, Briana, Stefani, Isaac Deleon, Nikko, Paulino, Luis, Ricky, Isabella, Aaron and Vicente, as well as his sister Lucy Lopez, brothers Sammy and Jesus Adorno and extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his mother Lucy Rosa Adorno, his step father Jesus Adorno, father Enrique Cruz, sister Maria Vargas. A Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 29th, 2017, at 11:00 am, at St. Dominic’s Cemetery, East 5th and Hillcrest Ave, Benicia. Casual attire/slacks/shirt is preferred.
