Georges Colin

Georges Colin after a long-lived life passed away peacefully at home. A native of France he fought in WWII, joining the French Resistance on June 14, 1944 at the age of 19, he then joined the French Army in January 1945- February 1946. He immigrated to Venezuela and then to the United States in 1954 finally arriving in Benicia in 1995. For much of his life, he worked as an airplane mechanic for Continental Airlines retiring after 25 years. He was a man of many talents, including speaking 4 languages fluently. Georges enjoyed stamp and coin collecting, gardening and took special pride in his fruit trees. He loved following the ups and downs of the stock markets. In his early 90’s he learned to enjoy Facebook to keep in touch with family and friends. As a true Frenchman at heart, he loved chocolate and cheese. Georges is survived by his daughter Fran Wilder, and his grandchildren Gregory (Michele) Wildermuth, Eric (Patricia) Wildermuth and Michelle (Ken) Morris-Adams, his great grandchildren, Taylor Austin and Brian, Colin & Kalin Wildermuth. Services will be private.
