Gladys Irene Tippie

Gladys Irene Tippie passed away Wednesday, February 10th in a Benicia care home following a brief illness. She was born in Wellington, Colorado and graduated from the University of Northern Colorado in 1942. She was a homemaker and has lived the past 20 years in Huntington Beach, CA. Gladys enjoyed embroidery, baking, reading, doing crossword puzzles and spending time with her family. She used her artistic talents in china painting and ceramics until shortly before her death. She was an excellent seamstress and even made her daughter’s beautiful wedding dress. Gladys is survived by her children Kenneth (Ann) Tippie, Susan (Richard) Muff, Larry (Darlys) Tippie and Mark (Joann) Tippie; 4 grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth W. Tippie in 1998 and her grandchildren Andrea Muff in 2008 and Charles Tippie in 2014. Graveside services were held at Pomona Valley Memorial Park.
