Jack Raymond Tomczak

Jack R. Tomczak, 80, passed away Sunday at his home in Benicia following a brief illness. He was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan and has lived in Benicia the past 44 years. Jack worked in Customer Service for General Motors Corporation for over 30 years. He was a veteran of the United States Navy in the early 50's. For the last 8 years Jack showed his classic 1949 GMC pickup at numerous car shows across the country. The truck's name was "Ol Red 49". Jack is survived by his daughters Michelle, Suzanne & Stephanie; sons Brian, Craig & Dana; sister Elizabeth; 9 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and him dear friends Tom & Barbara Colmer. Memorial services will be private. Burial with Military Honors will be held at a later date at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery, San Diego.
