“Jerry” DePriest, 54, of Benicia passed away Wednesday in a local care home after a long illness. He was born in Independence, Louisiana, raised in Daly City and has called Benicia home for the past 17 years. He worked as a Tile Setter for many years and also worked with his dad with Benicia Overhead Door. Jerry loved music. And when he was younger formed a band with several friends and played both the drums and guitar. Jerry is survived by his parents Ray & Rose Ann DePriest of Benicia; brother Jack DePriest, sister Deene Smith of Benicia, his best friend Dwayne Rosemyer of Redwood City, several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
