Joan Bowling

June 26, 1940 - November 21, 2021

Joan Bowling passed away peacefully on Sunday. Joan was a bookkeeper for Crest Linen in Vallejo in the 1970s and later went to work for Fidelity Bank retiring in 1994 after a 15-year career. Joan loved Starbuck’s Frappuccinos and cruising every street in Benicia with Joan telling her driver who used to live there and what used to be there. She looked forward to watching the hummingbirds nest in her yard, her gardens grow, and having backyard barbeques with friends and family. Joan never met a game show she didn’t like and loved rooting for her Warriors, San Francisco 49ers, and Giants. Joan is survived by Daughters Lisa Bowling-Foust, and Cathy (Connie Teschner) Bowling, her son Larry (Sonya) Bowling and Kelly (Mark Van Whye) Bowling. She was blessed with eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. She will be greatly missed by her loving K-9 companion Lucky. Joan was preceded in death by her loving husband Herman (1992) There will be a graveside service at St. Dominic’s Cemetery on December 3, at 11:00 AM.
