Jurine C. Smith Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Jurine Smith passed away Friday, April 16th, 2021 at her home in Vallejo at the age of 96. Jurine was born in Lodi, CA but Vallejo was home for the past 70 plus years. Jurine was predeceased by her one true love and precious husband, Leonard; parents Calvin & Angelina Jungeblut; and siblings Calvin Jungeblut, Duane Jungeblut, Marie Thompson & Arleen McCaffery. Jurine is survived by children K.C. Smith, Terry Oneil, and Lynda Schaper (Dick); three grandchildren Keith, Kari and Colter; three great grandchildren Juan Carlos, Cruz and Elia; and many nieces and nephews. Jurine graduated from College of the Pacific in Stockton, CA prior to attending Chouinard Art Institute in Los Angeles. While working at the Mechanics and Merchants Bank in Vallejo, she met her future husband, Leonard, with whom she would spend 56 wonderful years. Jurine was known and loved for her warm hospitality, tireless energy and wonderful spirit. She was deeply devoted to her husband and family, fiercely independent in her widowhood, and blessed with a constant stream of friends, including the gentle touch and companionship of her faithful friend, Wanda Lamb. Jurine was always quick with a smile, loved to laugh, will be missed beyond measure, and lived a very full life. The Smith family would like to express their sincere gratitude for the outstanding care and support Jurine received from her cherished caregiver, Elvira. Funeral services and burial in Sacramento Valley National Cemetery will be private.
