Laura Campos Keppie Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Laura Campos Keppie, 52, of Benicia, California, passed away on January 27, 2022 surrounded by loved ones. Laurie was born on July 7, 1969 in Chicago, Illinois. After graduating from Highland Park High School, Laurie moved to the west coast and fell in love with California. Laurie moved throughout Northern California and dabbled in different careers, teaching preschool, organic farming and eventually science. She completed a double major in entomology and biology at San Jose State University, graduating in 1999. After graduation, Laurie worked as an agricultural inspector for Monterey and Solano counties. Laurie met the love of her life, Dave Keppie, in her adopted hometown of Benicia, California in 2005. For the next sixteen years, she was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. Laurie loved to cook and was a talented chef. Laurie and Dave were blessed with two beautiful children, Stella Maria in 2007 and Liam Michael in 2011. The Keppie family enjoyed hiking, campfires and visiting Lake Tahoe. Laurie is survived by her husband Dave, her children Stella and Liam, her parents Amelia (Daniel) Harris and Carlos (Linda) Campos, five sisters – Cristina (Bill) Crawford, Rebecca Harris, Emily (Ryan) Niichel, Davina (David) Young and Daniela Campos, and nine nephews and nieces. Laurie had a big and open heart and will be remembered by friends and family for her giving nature and sense of humor. A memorial mass will be scheduled at a later date.
