Nancy J. Dooley-Englund Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

On Monday, February 7, 2022, Nancy Dooley-Englund, loving mother and friend to many, passed away peacefully in her sleep at the age of 77 after a battle with heart disease. Nancy was born 10/24/44 in Honolulu Hawaii to Jack & Lucille Boyd who preceded her in death. Nancy had a lifetime of achievements, she loved to win and received multiple awards and degrees, some of the most notable of which are as follows: University of San Francisco; Bachelor of Arts 1970, University of San Diego School of Law; Juris Doctorate 1975, Golden Gate University Master of Laws in Taxation 1982, United States Tax Court 1985, Oxford University Residential Program 1995, Toastmaster award 2002, and many more. She never stopped learning and had a lot of hope for future generations. An avid church goer, Nancy enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, staying abreast of current events and relaxing after a hard days work with a nice glass of wine. She met the love of her life, her beloved Glenn Englund, later in life, but they nevertheless shared 12 wonderful years full of eventful gatherings and good times before Glenn preceded her in death in 2011. A successful lawyer for decades in the firm Dooley & Leibovitz, she was practicing law up to the day of her passing with the Korn Law Group based out of Orinda, CA. She is survived by her sons, William and Vernon Dooley, her brothers, William and Jack Boyd, her sisters Karel Chavez and Barbara Kuhns, and the youngest generation including Alexandra, Isabella, Maxwell, Matthew and most recently, Victoria. A memorial service has been confirmed for Saturday, March 12th @ 11:00 a.m. at St Mary’s Catholic Church in Walnut Creek, 2039 Mt. Diablo Blvd, Walnut Creek, CA 94596.
