Richard A. “Rick” Pelham

“Rick” A. Pelham, 60, of Vallejo passed away peacefully following a five month battle with cancer. He was born in Oakland and lived the majority of his life in Contra Costa County before moving to Vallejo 2 years ago. He was a graduate of Mt. Diablo High School, Class of 1977. Rick was in the automotive and motorcycle business for more than 30 years. He started with Rick’s Automotive in the 80’s and later with Snap-On Tools and finally with Sun Diagnostic Machines. Rick also owned two other businesses, The Loaded Hog in Pleasant Hill and The Silver Knight in Pittsburg. He loved his family, motorcycle rides, boating on the Delta and will be remembered by family and friends as the life of the party. Rick is survived by his wife Robin; children Amanda, Samantha & Jeremy; sister Denise Pelham; brother Rodney Pelham; Father and mother-in-laws Mitchell Chernock & Durell Normandan; brother-in-law Mark Fletcher; sister-in-law Rue Fletcher; niece Stephanie Aiken, nephews Randy Aiken, Johnathan Seymour & Christopher Pelham; niece Ashlee Fletcher; nephew Julian Gray; grandchildren Payton Bayes & Jocelynn Ramos. Many people will remember his dog Gunther. Memorial services will be held Saturday, 12 noon, January 25th at Northgate Christian Fellowship, 2201 Lake Herman Road, Benicia. Rick rode and built motorcycles. In his honor, please ride yours to the memorial.
