Steven A. Reignierd Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Steven A. Reignierd, 58, passed away peacefully and unexpectedly Sunday evening at his home. Although he was born in Medford, Massachusetts, Steven moved to Vallejo at a young age and has considered it his home ever since. Steven earned his bachelors degree from San Francisco State University in 1986 in Radio and Television Communication and three associates degrees from Solano Community College in 1982 and 1985, one in Telecommunications and two degrees in Early Childhood Education, respectively. In 2005 he became ordained by the Catholic Diocese and enjoyed officiating wedding ceremonies for his friends and loved ones. He was a dedicated member of the local community. Steven worked with his mother, Genevieve, for many years as the Director of Reignierd School. He then served as a counselor at All Souls Cemetery in Vallejo for several years, and as an entrepreneur owned his own business Futons & Beyond in the Castro district of San Francisco, and most recently Steven has served as the Principal of Starting Gate School in Vallejo. Known as "Stever" to his friends. He also loved the theater, traveling, camping at Lake Berryessa with his friends, being around water whether ocean or poolside, and entertaining family and friends in his home. His door was always open to those he loved. Steven is survived and will be greatly missed by his children David Reignierd, Cain Carter, Amber Larosa, and his five grandchildren, who lovingly knew him as "Papa Steve." Memorial services will be held at 2 PM Saturday at Passalacqua Funeral Chapel, 901 West Second Street, Benicia. in lieu of Flowers, the family would prefer a donation to Starting Gate School.
